Ban Ki-moon Global Citizen Scholarship- Alumni Networking Session

Our Executive Director, Mr. Oduor Kevin participated in the Virtual Alumni Networking Session on17th November 2021. Ban Ki-moon Alumni networking session brings together young global change makers who have received the prestigious global citizen scholarship awarded by the Ban Ki-moon Center for Global Citizen. The Global Citizen Scholarship Program empowers exceptional young people by facilitating their participation in international conferences as well as tailor-made, short-term academic trainings and supporting and mentoring them during the development of their own “SDG Micro-Project.” The scholarship includes the chance to attend renowned international fora, interact and network with high-level change-makers, access specialized educational seminars and trainings, and gain insights from expert mentors and workshops provided by the Centre.

As an alumnus of the program (2020), Oduor got an opportunity to meet with both current and former scholars who shared about their exciting social impact journey. He shared about his project on food security which has already achieved amazing outcomes largely as a result of the support he received from the program.

The networking session was also an opportunity to know each other, identify commonalities, listen to the inspiring projects implemented by the current scholars, and get updated on the plethora of opportunities that lie in wait for the scholars.

We implore young people with innovative SDG projects to apply for this program which will help greatly highlight their work.
